Each year at the first of December, I tell myself “Christmas is over 3 weeks away. Plenty of time…” and then somehow, before I can take another breath, the day arrives. Time flies so quickly; I know you understand.

I don’t often give you a family update of all the hustle and bustle with the Wojo tribe, so I thought I would share a little of our year with you.

My Hubby

After working in hospitals for over the last twenty-five years, my awesome husband, Matt, moved from the hospital setting to a medical office setting in July. He enjoys helping the patients greatly and it’s a perfect fit for him as the clinical director. Just when I think I couldn’t love this man any more than I do, he proves me wrong.

Tiff & Zach

Tiffany, our oldest daughter, and her husband, Zach, are working hard at their jobs in the local area. We are extra proud of Tiffany for her acceptance into Physician’s Assistant school, which she will begin in fall 2015.

Taylor

Taylor girl is steadily changing from her usual smiling self to a mostly quiet and fragile, sick girl. With her disease of MPS and its average lifespan of 10-15 years, she is considered “aged” for the disease at 18 years old and it is beginning to take more of a toll. She has missed a ton of school this year and does best when she keeps a calm, daily routine. We’re doing our best to make the most of each day.

Michael

Our almost teenage boy, Michael, is playing basketball in the community club and enjoying drum lessons. He had a great week at Scioto Hills camp over the summer and loves playing in the band at school. Saturday nights are one of his favorite times of the week- church youth group!

Tristina

You’ll often find Tristina trying to flip her way through the house, even in our limited space. Her love for recreational gymnastics is great fun to watch and she is a fantastic student. With a big heart, she helps me a ton at home and on special projects, like the Ohio MPS Gathering.

Samuel

Samuel keeps us laughing and he enjoyed playing baseball this summer. He is not in love with school, but he loves logic and works hard, even when he doesn’t like a subject or assignment. Samuel loves being a kid.

Tarah

Sweetie Tarah hit the kindergarten mode this fall and just about broke Mommy’s heart. I have enjoyed every moment at home with her from the time she was born and while she is reading and loving every minute of school, I am super glad that her school day is only a half day.

Tessa

It’s really hard to grasp that Baby Tessa is already 3! She is Mommy’s helper when it comes to caring for Taylor and although she gave up her naps over the summer, we still manage to get in some snuggles each day. She has an extra spark of curiosity and personality that everyone else in the family simply adores.

All of You

I can’t say “thank you” enough for engaging here in this prayer community and space for Bible lovers!!

I’d appreciate your prayers over the next two weeks as the next writing deadline on my first published book is January 8th.

The 2015 Bible Reading Challenge will launch within the next couple days and I want to be sure that you saw the last post on How to Read the Bible All the Way Through On Your Own. This post includes a fabulous FREE printable that you don’t want to miss and there was a small issue with our mailing list, so some of you may not have received the email for that post. We’ll send another between the holidays.

Merry Christmas from our family to yours and looking forward to all God has for all of us in the New Year!

Rachel
