I sheepishly asked my husband a couple weeks ago:

Do you think people will read marriage advice from a divorced person?

My line of thought was that perhaps the mistake nullifies your credibility.

But my wise husband said the opposite:

Yes. I believe people realize that through that experience, if you’ve been faithful in your second marriage, then you must have learned some things from which others can learn.

So for the first time today, my thoughts on divorce and marriage are briefly shared at my wonderful friend, Denise In Bloom’s, place. She is one gracious lady and I feel so very privileged to have met her at She Speaks over this past weekend!

I would love it so much if you take a minute to stop by her place and read this:

“I can’t wait.”
The dreams of being married, having children and the “happily ever after” kept me awake at night as a teenager. Mr. Perfect was going to sweep me off my feet and I would be a pastor’s wife for the rest of my days, serving as joyfully in the church as I did all my teen years. We would have six children and though I didn’t have all the names chosen, I was certain I wanted a big family just like my parents had.

Just the chance to meet Mr. Right was all I needed. (Click here to continue reading…)

Also, my dear friend, Darlene Schacht, New York Times Bestselling Author, has one of my posts on her awesome blog today! I hope you’ll stop by her busy place as well!! Click HERE.
