The Rock Harbor Christian women fiction series by Colleen Coble is quite the current rage and the children’s books have been no different! Lost and Found by Colleen Coble is an exciting mystery that includes fun rescue dogs and relevant social issues. My sweet 9 yr old girl, Tristina, loved the book and I asked her to give her review and opinion on this one since the series is designed for ages 8-11.

Isn’t she so beautiful and scholarly? 🙂 Love that girl and so proud of her. Here are her words:

A fourteen year old girl named Emily O’Reilly and her best friend Olivia love solving mysteries. Emily finds an old photo of Olivia’s adoption day. The girls quickly figure out the mystery with Olivia’s birth parents but that’s not all of the news. Emily’s stepmother Naomi suddenly goes missing. She and her best friend try to figure out these adventures with Emily’s dog Sherlock.

My favorite part of this book was when they were getting all of these decorations out and setting them up. I think the book really described what the decorations looked like and how they felt. I really hope there is another Rock Harbor book like this by Colleen Coble because they are so interesting.

You can find a review for the first book in the series, Search & Rescue, right here.

I thought you might enjoy a preview of the book:

I would love to go to Ireland. It is my husband and my dream to visit our homeland.

  2. Any adventure…hmm… Trekking across Europe with my daughter.

  3. I’d love to go to southern Louisiana in early spring to see the flowers in the gardens and in the swamps. Of course, that would only be the beginning…I’d need to explore all the way there and all the way back home (taking a different route of course).

I would love a trip to Germany. My husband and I would love to see the Neuschwanstein Castle. My oldest loves to read and this series sounds perfect for her! 🙂

If I could choose any adventure, it would probably be whatever my kids or husband would choose .. I think we would all love a swamp tour including a gator hunt! 🙂

  6. My husband and I would take our honeymoon and go on an Alaskan cruise!

  7. Book review is awesome! I would love to read this with my son who is getting into reading longer books 🙂
