You know that feeling you have when it’s just time to clean house? Well, I was there yesterday. After weeks of a busy event schedule, we needed a thorough, get-every-germ cleanup. I caught a wild hair while I was dusting the bedroom and wound up following through on an idea I saw on Emily Freeman’s Instagram. Now it might not look like much to you, but well, as an avid book lover, I think a rainbow of book color is fun and frugal too!

How do you store your books? I first saw this idea on...

Whenever I clean house, I usually keep my phone or a piece of paper handy and write down ideas or lists. With the upcoming schedule change and school starting in a couple weeks, I scribbled a few notes about our morning devotional reading time.  If you’re like us, sometimes it requires a little creativity to have that morning quiet time.

And to spur you on, I’m giving away a set of Jesus Calling devotionals, one designed for adults and one designed for children! These devos are super to be able to read on topic alongside each other as a family AND they just happen to be our family’s favorite. We’ve read these devos through 4 times! If you already have this devo, it would make a fabulous gift!

Our family favorite devotionals! Giveaway for a beautiful set of two for a limited time!

Be sure to check out all the ways you could incorporate these devotionals into your morning routine and just follow the Rafflecopter to enter the giveaway!

  4. At the beginning of the year, I began a Bible reading schedule and I’ve enjoyed it so much. I’m actually ahead of schedule and will finish reading the Bible, Genesis to Revelation, in less than a year. I am also leading a women’s small group study at church (twice a week for 12 weeks) using “Twelve Women of the Bible” by Lysa TerKeurst. It is sooooooo good. I’m such a book nerd and want to know every little ounce of info on these ladies in Scripture!!!!!!!

  5. Rachel, Thanking God for you, your ministry, and all you offer here. God has truly given you the gift of His heart to share with others…..beyond what you might imagine. God bless you and your beautiful family! If I win the devotionals, I will give the set to my sister and her daughter to read together.

  14. Dear Rachel,

I am grateful to this blog, grateful to the inspiring words, grateful to other women that share their stories in this blog. Sometimes in your own corner, going through the storms of life, you can think you are alone. I normally say, the past few months I have experienced so much pain. Losing parents every six months, having problems with baby daddy, now facing retrenchment at work. I need the strength and courage to face each day. But when you read other women stories, you are not alone. The strength these women have, I love the short prayers. I always look forward to seeing your mails in the morning before I start my day at work. They brighten up my day. I have some that talk to me, that I have printed, they are all over my desk.

May the good Lord keep you inspired to keep on going with your good work.
