Our family has been reading Jesus Calling for Kids in the mornings for about a year. We all enjoy the special time together and my 3 year old even asks, “Are we reading Jesus Calling today?”
You can imagine the family excitement when we opened up this beautiful new book, Jesus Calling Bible Storybook!
I was particularly excited to see the variety of stories in the book. From creation to the early church, the stories all point towards God’s incredible plan of salvation.
We started reading with “Jesus Heals the Sick”- Jairus’s Daughter and the Sick Woman from Mark 5. Because our 15 year old daughter, Taylor, has a rare genetic disease, MPS, her 5 younger siblings do not know anything other than her being sick. I love that this storybook contains a Jesus Calling devotional excerpt at the end of each story. At the end of Jesus Heals the Sick Jairus’s daughter’s story, the excerpt reads:
”No matter what is happening, you can always know that I have a plan for you and that I am with you. So trust Me, and don’t be afraid- even when you have big problems in your life. No problem is too big for Me!”
You can imagine how precious it is to read these wonderful words of comfort to my children!
This book is designed for ages 4-7 and I love the way the book reveals how Jesus was present in the Old Testament, His earthly presence in the New Testament and His presence in our lives today.

This book would be wonderful to read during our night time devotions after dinner. But it would be great in the morning, after school or before bedtime.

We love our bedtime devotionals, which include various Bible Story books. My seven year old was wondering the other night how many she will have by the time she grows up – what a blessing it is to be able to raise her to be so familiar with God’s wisdom!! She loves to share and loan these to friends as well, which makes them even more special!!

My kids and I usually pray every morning while waiting for the bus. They also enjoy reading the Beginner’s Bible nightly. Since I read my Jesus Calling devotional every morning and love it, I am sure this would be much appreciated by my 3 children. Thank you for doing this giveaway!

I would love to read this to my children at night.
This would be a wonderful addition to our collection for a boy who has so many questions and a mom without many answers.
My son LOVES to be read to. Not only at bedtime, but often throughout the day he will ask me to read to him from the other Bible Storybooks that we have. I know that this would be a book that he would love and that he would beg me to read to him again and again. It would be another awesome way to hide the word of God in his heart!
