Today I’m excited to present to you: Heaven Changes Everything book review. This book is sister to Heaven Is For Real. I truly enjoyed Heaven Is For Real and our family loves Heaven Is For Real for Kids; in fact, my 7 year old read it for his nighttime reading just tonight- his choice. The subtitle for Heaven Changes Everything is “Living Every Day with Eternity in Mind.”

I have to tell you that a day doesn’t go by that I don’t think about the importance of living every single day with Heaven in mind.  As my Taylor girl continues to battle her rare neurologically degenerative disease of MPS, each day presents the thought “Let’s make the most of today!”

Heaven Changes Everything contains over forty inspirational readings with excerpts from the original Heaven Is For Real. Each chapter begins with the excerpt and follows with a perspective or story from Todd or Sonia Burpo as they look back at all that God has performed through their lives and their son, Colton’s, story. The readings are only two to three pages and conclude with a thought-provoking life question or statement and Scripture. For example, at the end of Reading 25- Connecting Through Loss, you can find the following statement:

Don’t ever forget: Jesus controls life’s outcomes. The greatest outcome may be one that only he can see today, but you will one day be able to see too! Heaven is waiting.

I truly enjoyed Heaven Changes Everything and would highly recommend this book to anyone going through a trial or circumstance that is causing frustration with understanding God’s plan. I read this book while travelling over the holidays, under stressful circumstances, and truly, the book kept my perspective away from my own personal circumstances and looking towards the day Christ makes all things new.
