NOW CLOSED: Book Giveaway!! Heroes & Villains of the Bible

And the winner is:

Vanessa!!! Check your email! :)

Good morning! Start your midweek by entering this awesome giveaway! Heroes & Villains of the Bible is a wonderful Tommy Nelson book our family had the privilege of reviewing.  The stores are real and have actual Bible text throughout.  This book is a 2011 publication and is simply gorgeous.

My fourth grade son latched on to this one and used it for his nightly reading during Christmas break.  There are wonderful summary statements throughout this chapter book that I really love, for example:

Loving God…it’s just what heroes do.

Heroes know that God never lies.

Real heroes know that true strength comes from God.

A real hero is kind to everyone.

These statements are completely character based and I love the impact they have in a society full of false heroes.  The book includes both Old Testament and New Testament characters, some of which include: Miriam, Moses, Mordecai, Daniel, the good Samaritan, and Peter.

So, wanna win? :)  Hope you do! Three ways to enter:

1. Subscribe to this blog through the form in the right sidebar and leave a comment saying you’ve done so.

2. Like Rachelwojo.com on Facebook and leave a comment saying you’ve done so.

3. Leave a comment stating why you would like to win this book.

This is a one day giveaway only; so don’t delay! This will end at 9 am, Thursday, Jan. 5, 2011. We’ll announce the winner shortly thereafter.

Happy Wednesday!

This book was provided for review by Thomas Nelson; all opinions are my own.

Wow this sounds great! This would be a great follow up for us, as she has just had some lessons about heroes in Sunday School class. Thanks for such a great giveaway.

I would love to win this for my kids – especially my son. The cover alone is eye-catching.

I subcribed through email and liked your facebook page. I also am about to comment leave a comment on facebook saying I liked the page…
I would like to win the book because I would love to learn more about the characters of the bible – it seems like I don’t know enough about them! The villians of the bible are the ones I know about the least, I have not heard much from them…usually the ones I hear about are the heros (David, Moses, etc)
Also, If I got the book I would love to share it with my younger siblings (I am 17).

  4. Katy says

I SO would love to use this book in children’s ministry! Seems like a great tool for bringing the bible to life.
