Monday is here and it’s time for the Bible Reading Challenge check-in once again. Hard to believe huh? The week flies by quickly.

On Thursday last week, I began teaching a 4 week Bible study on Hannah and the Power of Prayer, based on my book, The Sensational Scent of Prayer. I’m super surprised to tell you that even with the extra time in preparation and many other family factors involved, I’m just a few chapters behind in the Bible reading challenge at this point. Woohoo!

How’s it going for you? I’d love to hear how feel about the method you’ve chosen and where you are in the reading. But most of all, I’d love to hear about how being in God’s Word daily is draw you closer to him. So do you have a minute to comment? Let’s continue to cheer one another on!

Have a marvelous Monday!

Rachel

I got a bit behind when I went to visit my Dad over Easter. I am working daily to catch back up. And this after I said I would not get behind again! It is easier to keep up with the daily reading. Praying I’s be totally up to speed next check-in.

    1. Hi Linda! I couldn’t agree more…it is incredibly easy to get behind…but what a GREAT attitude you have…praying with you that God blesses you with plenty of opportunities to catch up!

  2. I am a week ahead now and loving my quiet time reading God’s Word. I go outside when the weather is nice and enjoy reading and admiring all the things God has created.

    1. Oh, wow, Cheryl, that sounds sooo peaceful! Congratulations on being a week ahead! That’s AWESOME!!!

  3. Way to go Heather, Fiona, and Rachel!!! Way to hang in there 🙂 I am using the Olive Tree app…M’Cheyene plan and I LOVE the covenience of it…Specifically not having to wonder where I am with the added bonus of being able to read anywhere! But, that being said, yes Fiona, Leviticus WAS hard…I am really thankful we don’t live in the that time period…that was a lot of blood being poured out! And, so VERY, VERY thankful for THE BLOOD of Jesus He so willingly gave…Rachel, the more I read His Word, the more I find myself thinking about it through the day or discussing it with my husband, my daughter, or my mom…and praying about different things I have read, as well…so I have to say, Yes, I do feel God is using this time to draw me closer to Him…and I am so grateful to YOU for offering this and for the encouragement and motivation being in a group brings! You guys are GREAT! Hope you all have a wonderful week!

  4. I’m still loving the Olive tree app. Also love the M’Cheyene plan. I’m staying on track. Once in awhile I get a day or so behind but manage to catch up. I love having this daily time of reading Gods Word. Leviticus was hard. Kept reminding myself God has it there for a reason. Have a great week!

    1. Leviticus is one of the reasons I love the MCheyne plan. I honestly don’t think I could read it straight through day after day without getting discouraged. 🙂

Got a chapter behind last week. Caught up the next day, though! Hang in there everyone!
