Hey there! It’s Monday and time for our weekly Bible Reading Challenge Check-in and guess what? I’m back from Kenya!! Did you think I disappeared?

Praise the Lord for his wonderful work through AWANA International! I’m so blessed to have seen how God’s Word is changing lives in miraculous ways in Kenya. I’m looking forward to sharing what I personally learned through the mission journey. The more I’ve reflected, the more I’ve realized that location doesn’t matter- God’s Word always brings hope. Where hope reigns, God’s Word is reigning in hearts. Whether the Kibera slums, Masai Mara, or Ohio.

The Lord impressed on my heart to share #LessonsInHope with you over the next five weeks. Each Wednesday beginning this week, when the Whimsical Wednesday blogger linkup is hosted, I will post A Lesson In Hope I learned from the beautiful Kenyan people through this incredible AWANA mission trip. Perhaps you have some lessons in hope you’ve learned from others that you’d like to share! We’ll still have all our weekly encouragement posts linking up, but my extra challenge to you is to write out one of the lessons in hope you’ve learned through the testimony of someone in your life. If you’re not a blogger, what about breaking out that summer journal and making a list of the people who have inspired you to keep going another day?

And now it’s Monday and I’m all caught up on the Bible Reading Challenge, both on Pinterest and my personal reading. If you’re not following the Daily Bible Reading Challenge board, you can do that right here. Typically I pin the daily reading challenge- though with very sketchy WIFI from the moment we left Chicago on this trip, I did get behind this week. We’re back on track however, and I’d love to hear about how your reading is going!

So how are you?

Glad to be back. God is good. All the time. All the time. God is good.

Rachel

Just a note to say I am on track, still.
Watched your episode of America’s Bible Challenge and noticed that you looked very upset at the end! Glad you are home safe and hope you have a great week!

  4. Rachel, welcome home! Glad to hear from you again! Can’t wait to hear about your journey! Looking forward to the lessons in hope! Hope is my word for the year and my heart and my life are blessed with this gift from God! I am going to send you an email about the MPS gathering. You and the Wojo clan are always in my prayers! And yes God is Good…all the time…always and everywhere!

  5. I look forward to your Wednesday series. It’s so true, hope is hope, and not in our circumstances, ourselves, or other people, but in our trust in what Jesus has done, is going to do, and in Who He is!

    Blessings Rachel,

    Joanne
